I just finished a first draft of the script for chapter 2! Woohoo!
I’m leaving everything already posted thus far as it is right now. I’ll be picking up at page 11. My drawing style has evolved a lot since then, so it’ll probably look ridiculous for the time being. Eventually I’ll get around to redoing chapter one and the first part of chapter two, but for now I’m just wanting to get the comic moving forward. I’ll get to editing the script and fixing the dialogue later on, but so far things are looking up. (Finally!)
Also, for those interested, I started a blog for my writing stuff. I’ll be posting various stories and articles there. Some Starcrossed-related. Some not. Either way, please feel free to check it out.

A drawing I did for Quinn for the heck of it.

I just thought I’d post some links on where else to find me outside of Starcrossed:

These are the places where I frequent most often. Feel free to add me, watch me, bid on my commissions *hint, hint*, whatever. If you want to add me to your friends on Facebook, I won’t accept your friend request unless I know who you are so make sure you let me know.

Ok, here’s the plan on what I’m wanting to do with the comic.
I technically have two comics in the works at the moment: Starcrossed and another one called Medusa Complex. As I’ve said from the beginning, Starcrossed is supposed to be a short comic. Medusa Complex is going to be far longer and if I have my way, will be submitted to publishers for print.
Right at this moment I am also in a creative writing class that I absolutely despise. As a result, it’s really killed my mood to write. I plan to pick up writing these two again once my semester ends.
In the meantime I’ll post artwork and sketches for the comic. I plan on redoing the entire cast. Mostly minor changes, but if I’m going to pick it up and improve it I might as well go all the way. It’ll probably look completely ridiculous compared to the stuff that is already up, but I just want to hit the ground running.
I’ll also probably update the comic itself once I have an entire chapter done. This way if I want to take a break, it doesn’t just stop six or seven pages in like this most recent time.
I’d like to give you guys a schedule, but every time I’ve done it I’ve never been able to keep it. I hope this plan makes up for it.

It’s been almost a year since I’ve touched this site. I just sort of left it on hiatus, not knowing what to do with it and figured people would forget about it after a while.
To be honest, I never really wrote any story past chapter two. I had just been sort of winging it. I had no idea people would like it so much. So you can imagine my surprise that I keep getting emails, comments, and notes (particularly on DA) about it. Seriously, I’m touched. I had no idea.
Anyways, I think you guys have finally beat me into submission. I think I’m going to continue with it.
I need some time to figure out what I want to do with it because, like I said, I haven’t thought that far ahead.
Any feedback in regards to story would be greatly appreciated.

Ooh I feel so bad for going so long without an update . . .
I’m still alive. Really. Between working and school, I just haven’t found myself able to do much as far as comics go lately. Bear in mind I haven’t forgotten about Starcrossed, it’s just been on hiatus. I can’t say exactly when it will resume, but I’m trying my best to get back to it as quickly as I can. Right now I’m using my spare time to do some writing on it and some much needed character development. While working on chapter 2 I noticed how much I needed to go back and flesh some things out. So hopefully the time I spent writing will be well spent.
As for real life I am currently employed as an early education substitute teacher. I’ve been taking care of kids ages 1-5 lately. It’s cool and all, but not something I want to do for a living. I was a bit embarrassed because I went into a job taking care of one year olds without knowing how to change diapers.
Luckily they were patient with me and taught me how. The skill has shown to be quite . . . handy when dealing with infants and toddlers. Bleh.
My birthday was last Tuesday (April 14). I am now 25 years old. It’s kind of a weird feeling in a way. I got some Nintendo DS games, some plants to add to my herb garden, money, and a delicious meal. It was the first time I’ve had Middle Eastern food but I have to say I quite like it.
Also another reason for lack of pages for a while is my laptop crapped out on me, consequently taking Photoshop with it. It’s ok though. It was technically a rental laptop that I needed in a bind. Plus I really hated using Vista. The only thing that sucks is that it couldn’t wait until my semester was over. I’m currently looking for a new harddrive to get my old Mac up and running until I can afford a new laptop. Right now I’m on my esteemed colleague, Rumor’s, computer which has GIMP (a sort of Photoshop freeware) which I haven’t had much chance to mess with yet.
Also I added a new pic to the fanart section! It’s actually part of an art trade between me and my friend from Deviantart, P-Sanchez. We’ve both been watching each other’s work for a couple of years now on DA and have done quite a few art trades in the past. His work is awesome and has gotten better over time. Do stop by and check his work. I love his Vincent the Third comic.
Once I get my half of the trade done, I’ll post a link here.

I think I have figured out a solution for my updating problem. I said my schedule is really erratic which makes it really hard to stick to something resembling a regular schedule to update.
I finished my homework way ahead of schedule for the week and I was thinking of just drawing a ton of pages for SC.
I had figured each chapter would be roughly around 30 pages (give or take). What I was thinking of doing is finishing off the pages all in one big chunk. Once they’re close to done I’m going to upload them and update once a day.
This means you’ll have to wait a little longer for each update, but you’ll be getting a whole chapter at once. This takes some stress off of me while still getting new material out and prepare for the next chapter.
I hope that’s a good compromise, and I’m sorry for everyone who’s been waiting. I’ll get some new stuff up soon.
Edit: Oh and I also got a new fanart from Amuletts. Check it out!

Sorry for this being so late, I had meant to make a post a few days ago and just got caught up. Yeah there was no update Friday. I have the next page drawn and inked, just not colored yet.
Here’s basically a brief summary of what I’ve been going through in the past couple of months. . . Over winter break I transferred schools. I was going to Kansas City Art Institute as an animation major beforehand and decided animation really wasn’t what I wanted to do. After weighing my options as to switching majors I realized what I wanted to do was illustration. The problem was that KCAI had got rid of its illustration program a few years prior. They’re bringing it back but I basically wouldn’t be able to take classes in it until 2012 and, well, I just didn’t want to wait that long, lol.
So I started looking for other schools and found one in San Francisco that had what I was looking for. Since I am, unfortunately, not in a position to move to the West coast I am currently taking classes online (and I love not having to drive to class anymore).
Plus I was hired on as a substitute teacher. The schedule for that is really erratic, basically I work when they need me. I could work five days a week or none at all depending on what’s open.
And in the last few days I’ve been feeling weird lately. I haven’t been able to eat anything and I’ve been feeling nauseous. I think I have some sort of flu starting because I’ve also been completely drained for energy and I’ve been having weird headaches. Blah.
I’m posting this here because I’m going to have to do some moving around to make time for Starcrossed. I’m aiming for once a week still, but it won’t be on a set day. It just depends on how much time I have that week.
This semester I have to go back and take some Foundations classes that didn’t transfer to this school so I’m doing some basic Figure Drawing and Photoshop classes that are easy enough. But I’m also taking a figure sculpting class that my professor has warned will be more time consuming during midterms and finals. So there might be a period in March and May where I’m a bit unavailable.
I’ve never sculpted before so I’m a bit nervous.
Either way, expect the next Starcrossed page when I get over the initial funk I have right now.

Page 9 is now up, sorry for the delay. I’m not entirely happy with it but at least it was better than it was. Page 10 will be up Friday as per usual.

Hey guys, just letting you know the comic’ll be a bit late this week. I was going to color and decided I didn’t like the last panel of page 9 so I’m going to redraw it. It’ll be up either late Friday or Saturday.
Sorry for the delay, but I want to make sure it’s good.
